    The Central Board of secondary education has decided to vary the question paper pattern for the category 10 and 12 board examinations.

    consistent with reports, the students appearing for the category 10 and 12 CBSE examinations will now need to answer 20 per cent objective questions within the board examinations.

    According to the order released by the board, the proposed examinations for the 29 subjects of class 10 and 12 students are postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

    The rule regarding the 20 per cent objective questions within the examination won't be applicable for the class 10 and 12 CBSE exams which are postponed because of the COVID-19.

    Along with the 20 per cent objective questions, the board has also changed the chapters of the various subjects.

    As per the order, the Solid State Chapter in Chemistry for the Secondary level 15 group topics of P Block has been faraway from the 11th and 12 classes.

    The board has also added a brand new option for applied math to the syllabus of Mathematics at the secondary level and also the topic has been implemented from this 2020-21 academic term.

    the students who have studied Basic Mathematics at school in class 9th can choose applied math in school 11th.

    It must be noted that the new examination pattern with 20 per cent objective questions are going to be from the 2020-21 board examinations only.
